Philly Cheesesteak Style Cheeseburger Skillet
one pan. low carb. 20 min meal. bing bang boom, all you can ask for 👏
Servings 3
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef i use 80/20
- 1 large pepper
- 1 onion
- 1-2 cups shredded cheese i usually go with provolone or swiss, feel free to use whichever is your favorite. I definitely recommend shredding it yourself, it just melts and tastes so much better.
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- start by browning your meat in a pan, season generously with salt and pepper.
- slice your peppers and onions in long but skinny slices.
- once meat is cooked, drain and remove from pan.
- add a generous drizzle of olive oil, and your veggies
- season generously with salt & pepper and let cook to your desired tenderness (i prefer my veggies almost over cooked haha!)
- once veggies are good add your beef back to the pan, mix around til combined and add cheese to the top, cover until melted about a min or 2
- remove from heat & serve! i like to add shredded lettuce and spicy mayo to mine! enjoy!!!
