Chicken Sausage & Pepper Skillet

this skillet meal is your shortcut to a wholesome and savory dining experience. Get ready to savor the convenience and flavor fusion in every bite!

Ingredients

  • package of chicken sausage links trader joes has reallllly yummy chicken sausage!!
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 1 small onion optional
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 c brown rice (or any rice of choice) i loveeee to use the 90 second microwave rice so simple and easy
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Sauce

  • 1 cup low fat plain yogurt or you can use mayo
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • in a large pan over medium high heat, add 1 tablespoon olive oil, chicken sausage links, sliced peppers & onions and cook until sausage is browned and cooked through and peppers and onions are soft.
  • remove chicken sausage from the pan and slice into bite size pieces, add back to pan.
  • add bag of rice (if using pre cooked rice- if not, cook rice seperately and then add rice once cooked) and about ¾ cup of water and let simmer while mixing together.
  • in a small bowl combine yogurt, Worcestershire sauce , onion salt, garlic powder, salt & pepper. once well mixed add to skillet.
  • let simmer for about 2 more minutes, then serve. enjoy!!!!
