Ravioli Lasagna with ground pork
Ingredients
- 1 jar about 24 ounces of your favorite marinara or tomato sauce
- 8 ounces of ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 package about 24 ounces of fresh or frozen cheese-filled ravioli
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground pork until it's browned and cooked through. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Drain any excess fat. while doing this also add your ravioli to a pot of boiling water and cook until tender
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange a layer of cooked ravioli over the sauce.
- Spoon half of the cooked ground pork over the ravioli.
- Dollop half of the ricotta cheese over the pork.
